MUSIC

the music I listen to actually changes a lot depending on whether or not im manic, mainly being MSI (i listen to them all the time, js esp when im manic), the smashing pumpkins, alice in chains, all that stuff. honestly i turn kind of emo when I'm manic.

when i'm depressed, i avoid music since when i am i always tend towards more sad music or wtvr. i think i read somewhere that music is like alcohol for the brain, and im completely sober during my depressive episodes. it probably applies to mania too, but stopping it at depression is a start. plus, when i am depressed, it gets kind of hard to enjoy any music.

the music I consistently listen to, being when I'm normal or hypo-manic, is js music I think is cool. Trippie Redd, Playboi Carti, Rae Sremmurd, Childish Gambino, allathat. I also listen to some darkwave and goth rock, but not a whole lot (love you diva destruction, please marry me debra fogarty)

so, whats my *goal* here? Some music artists tend to push me deeper into mania when that is the entire opposite of what i'm trying to do, so my goal is to either cut out some music artists which isnt exactly preferable, OR only listen to them on certain occasions, which is what my main method is gonna be. I'm okay-ish at limiting myself with stuff when i start while normal, and with my damaged hippocampus i might even forget about some of the artists.
